We're on our way!

It seems like no time at all since I signed up to do this trip and now here we are at the airport and on our way to the great unknown!  Our team includes our fearless leader, Beth Burgess, the seasoned traveler, Cyndee Gray, the newly Religion and Philosophy degreed Tina Picard, the mom to an international household Lori Overy, the young but wise Lindsey Hankwitz, the also young and enthusiastic Jessica Bitner and me. It's a beautifully balanced, fearless and loving team which I am privileged to be a part of.

We started our journey with a 14 1/2 our flight to Dubai which went amazingly better than I had feared. For someone who has a hard time sitting still for an hour, fourteen hours was daunting. Fortunately, I was seated next to Cyndee who was just about as fidgety as me, so together we had lots of standing up breaks. We landed in Dubai at night so weren't able to really see the amazing sights from the air but just the pattern of lights on the long, long strait causeways gave me a sense of the amazing man-made structures. London's request had been for me to take a picture of a Lamborghini, but since I couldn't leave the airport, the best I could do was a Porche in the airport!

My first Indian meal on the plane.  This was breakfast!

Our flight path put us over the North Pole and a little too close to Tehran for comfort

Our final leg put us into Delhi around 3 am. The airport, like the city, never stops and was extremely busy and lively even through the night. It wasn't until about 5:30 when we finally cleared immigration and customs and were able to leave the airport and meet our friends from Catalyst, Abishek and Angie, and some of the Catalyst staff. We were welcomed with marigold necklaces and wide smiles!

They took us to our hotel where we thankfully were able to lay down and sleep for a few hours.
